International admissions

Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University runs international undergraduate and vocational-school admissions through its International Office site. The general conditions require the applicant to be a foreign national who is a high-school senior or graduate, and not a citizen of Turkey or the TRNC except in the specific cases listed (foreign high-school diploma, Blue Card holders, or those who have given up Turkish citizenship). Applicants must also not have been dismissed from a Turkish higher education institution on disciplinary grounds. Applications are submitted through the university's own online system, and the page separately sets out Turkish, Arabic and English language requirements by faculty.

• Must be a foreign national
• Must be a senior student or a graduate of a high school
• Must not be a citizen of Turkey or the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (including dual citizens of either, subject to the exceptions listed)
• Must not have been dismissed from a higher education institute in Turkey due to disciplinary action
• Turkish citizens may qualify as international students if they completed and received their high-school diploma in a foreign country, hold a Blue Card (Mavi Kart), or hold dual nationality and have abandoned Turkish citizenship
• Required documents: high-school diploma and transcripts; photocopy of passport; high-school diploma equivalency certificate (denklik belgesi); language proficiency exam results in Turkish, English, Arabic etc. (if available)
• At least 1 recommendation letter
• Letter of intent
• Hafız certificate for the Basic Islamic Sciences programme (if available)
• A portfolio of work for the Department of Traditional Turkish Arts
• A portfolio of work for the Department of Architecture (if available)
• YÖS results from other universities and/or other national or international exam results (if available)
• All documents must be in English or Turkish; otherwise a notarised translation must be provided
• Accepted high-school completion exams named in the Exams & Scores notes have no validity limit (ABITUR, International Baccalaureate, GCE, Tawjihi); university entrance exam results (YÖS, SAT, TCS, GAOKAO, National University Examination of Kazakhstan etc.) are valid for two years only
• The university states a high-school diploma grade, a certificate, or a university entrance exam result may additionally be evaluated if it deems it appropriate
